I graduated from Alabama State University in 2004 with an Elementary Education Degree with honors (Summa Cum Laude). In 2006 I graduated from Alabama State University for a second time with a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education. Also, in 2008 I graduated with an Education Specialist Degree in Elementary Education. Recently, I graduated with a second Master's Degree in Instructional Leadership.

This will be my 14th in Elementary Education. I taught 6th grade at Fitzpatrick Elementary in Montgomery, Alabama from 2004-2006. In 2006 I moved back to Birmingham and started working for the Jefferson County School System. This will be my 9th year with Jefferson County and at Minor Community School. I taught 1st grade for 3 years, I taught 4th grade for 3 years, 3rd, for 3 years, and 2 years in 5th grade. This will be my first year serving as the Technology Coordinator and Instructor.

I am looking forward to an exciting and productive year. My mission is to be a positive motivator and a helping hand. I would like to help attain goals and work to meet the highest potential for my school. I strive to be the type of educator that listens, helps, motivates, and never stops learning new, more effective ways to help.
